Our Hiring Process

We use a structured hiring and onboarding process to help ensure caregivers are prepared to provide dependable, professional, and safe support in clients’ homes.

1. Submit Your Application
Complete the Purpose & Power employment application and provide your current contact information, availability, general caregiving or work experience, and qualification information.

2. Interview & Initial Screening
Selected applicants participate in an interview so we can learn about their experience, availability, communication skills, and fit for in-home caregiving.

3. Pre-Employment Clearance
Applicants selected to move forward must successfully complete applicable pre-employment requirements, which may include identity verification, reference checks, background screening, exclusion/registry screening, and other required employment clearances.

4. Orientation & Competency Validation
Before independent assignment, caregivers complete required orientation, policy training, documentation/timekeeping training, and competency validation for the services they are approved to provide.

5. Client Assignment
Once cleared and approved, caregivers may be matched with available clients based on qualifications, demonstrated competencies, schedule, service area, client needs, and compatibility.

Completion of an application or interview does not guarantee employment, a particular schedule, or a specific number of hours. Client assignments depend on business needs, caregiver qualifications, availability, and successful completion of all required onboarding steps.
